some thoughts.

hey guys, have you met the love of my life? =)

i don't know why but lately i've been thinking a lot of the afterlife, in terms of whether i'd be granted entry into heaven or hell. just today, alfiyan and i were having a conversation about how the pathway to heaven consists of a bridge situated a height above hell, of which those who have sinned will find very precarious (hence more likely to fall into the troughs of hell) whereas those who are pious will find the bridge to be stable and of a short distance only.

i do admit that i'm quite the sinner, starting from the most basic element of religion which is praying five times a day, moving on all the way to things like eating habits and stuff. i dare say that it's got much to do with lifestyle, with how the people around me influence the way i behave (as i am a rather impressionable person). i can't even begin to muster up enough courage to think about the punishments that will be inflicted onto me during life after death.

are all these thoughts a sign? is it time for me to make efforts towards higher levels of religiosity for myself?

sigh i don't know. it seems like such a significant course of action for me to take, perhaps TOO big of one. but i suppose it wouldn't hurt for me to TRY. i mean, i don't have to make an total 360 degree change right?

i guess i'm lucky that alfiyan has been brought up in a religious background, and still is, essentially. he'd make a good guide if i do wish to make this change for myself.

ok in more lighthearted news: ALFIYAN TOOK ME SHOPPING!! =) he bought me a whole new outfit, specially for me to use when attending his SP graduation on May 23rd (since the dress code is shirt & tie). we went to bugis street yet again, and managed to find a dress that we both liked, which was this flowery (as always lol) tube dress which has a really flared skirt. hehe. and then alfiyan also bought me a pair of heels as well as a short black sweater to go with the tube dress.

i think it's so sweet of him to want to buy for me so many things, although it does make me feel bad sometimes since i don't really have the cash to get him stuff. ;p oh, well! which is why i really hope that iras calls me SOON so that i can start earning money to repay his kindness.

hehe. well ok i think this entry is long enough for today. take care, all!
